Regardless whether your Spring has arrived (screw you, Minnesota), video game convention season is warming up. This week the guys talk with Goomba Stomp writer Matthew Ponthier about his time at PAX East out in Boston. He gives a good rundown of some of the best indie titles at the show, as well as an idea of what it's like to attend the event for the first time — including meeting some childhood inspirations!
In the second segment the NXpress crew prepares for the Labo invasion by remembering some of our favorite Nintendo console peripherals. Think cardboard pianos are weird? Maybe you never heard that Nintendo once made games that used bongo drums as a controller. Or used a friendly robot to sell systems to parents wary of video games after the big industry bust. Strangest of all may be Rick recounting his time spent with Baby and Me's bizarre doll accessory. Ever wanted to simulate rocking a creepy child asleep with the assistance of Wii remote motion control? You're in luck. For all this and more, have a listen!
