This week on the NXpress Nintendo Switch Podcast we start by reviewing Tetris 99 which combines the tried-and-true puzzle gameplay with his own particular blend of mayhem. The game, which is free to download (provided you’re a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber), is perhaps the least expected take on the battle royale genre – but some would argue the best. Somehow this leads into a heated argument of whether or not NES games stand the test of time.
In our main event, we discuss our individual gaming habits including our preference for purchasing either digital or physical copies as well as how many indie games we each play on a regular basis. In between all of this, Patrick has nothing but great things to say about Degrees of Separation, a puzzle platformer where cooperation is built into every move. From the sounds of it, this might just be his favourite game he's played all year. It's another jam-packed show this week so sit back, relax and get ready for some more Nintendo love.

This week on the NXpress Nintendo Switch Podcast, we catch up on discussing some recent releases we haven't had time to squeeze into previous episodes including Mutant Football League, an arcade sports football game that mixes dark humor, blood, and gore for a hellishly good time. Given the lack of sports games on Nintendo’s console, it’s a welcome addition — especially since Digital Dreams Entertainment has given Switch owners the Dynasty Edition! We also make time for Bastion, the first game developed by Supergiant Games which went on to win several awards as well as Star Link: Battle for Atlas, Ubisoft's hope to breathe new life into the toys-to-life genre and the Star Fox brand. All this and more!
